Ashland University junior outside hitter Alli Cudworth is the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference South Division's Player of the Week for Week 4 of the 2015 season.
Cudworth is the conference's first two-time winner of a divisional volleyball award this season.
In two wins in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan last week, Cudworth recorded team-highs in kills (28) and service aces (seven), while adding 14 digs and three block assists. Her 11 kills at Michigan Tech (Sept. 25) and 17 kills at Northern Michigan (Sept. 26) give her double-digit kills in 11 of 12 matches in 2015.
Cudworth leads the GLIAC in kills per set (4.00) and points per set (4.7) this season, and is fifth in the conference in service aces with 19.
The Eagles are 8-4 overall and 3-1 in the GLIAC. Ashland will begin a five-match homestand with three matches at Kates Gymnasium this week – on Tuesday (Sept. 29) at 7 p.m. against Lake Erie, on Friday (Oct. 2) at 7 p.m. against Lake Superior State and on Saturday (Oct. 3) at 2 p.m. against Northwood.
