Ashland University's women's tennis team lost on the road on Sunday (Sept. 23) to conclude its road trip through Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
The Eagles fell 6-1 to Lake Superior State, with the only win coming from junior Allison Brooks in the fifth slot in singles. Brooks dropped her first set by just one game, before winning the next two to claim a win, 6-7, 6-2, 10-6.
"It's been a tough weekend for the team, but we are not discouraged," said Ashland head coach Lexi Bolesky. "We are looking to work harder in practice and perform better next weekend against Wayne State."
The Eagles will be back in action on Saturday (Sept. 29) at home against Wayne State at the Deborah Liebert Karl Tennis Complex.
