As announced by the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference on Tuesday (April 30) morning, Ashland University sophomore Sophie Hemleben has earned a spot on the All-GLIAC honorable mention team for 2019.
In 10 tournaments and 19 rounds in 2018-19, Hemleben, splitting time as Ashland's No. 1 and 2 golfer, averaged a round of 79.47. Her top individual finish was a tie for 10th place at the Kentucky Wesleyan Invitational in mid-October, and her best round of the campaign was a 71 in the first round of the Cumberland Trail Golf Classic in September – tied for the fifth-best round in program history.
A two-year starter, Hemleben finished in a tie for 17th place at the GLIAC Championships, carding 79-83—162 to lead the Eagle effort.
