This is Ashland University senior Austin Kondratick's last ride as an Eagle, the 2019 spring championship season.
Kondratick did his best to get that career home stretch off to a strong start, as he fired a first-round 68 to tie for first place individually on Saturday (March 16) at the Saginaw Valley State Spring Invitational in Georgetown, Ky.
As a team following the tournament's first 18 holes, Ashland is tied for 11th place in the 21-team field at 298. Grand Valley State and Bellarmine are tied atop the team standings at 282, followed by Findlay (283) and Hillsdale (285).
Sophomore Ben Jones carded a 71 on Round 1, and is tied for 15th individually. Junior Patrick Steffen fired a 78, freshman Brent Dillon had an 81 and redshirt freshman Luke Tanner finished with an 84.
Playing as an individual was senior Cole Smith (85).
Day 2 of the SVSU Spring Invitational will be Sunday (March 17) at 9 a.m.
