For the second time in 2016, Ashland University junior right-hander Brandyn Sittinger is the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference South Division Pitcher of the Week.
On Friday (April 8) at Tiffin, Sittinger recorded a career-high 14 strikeouts during a complete-game six-hitter in a 4-1 Eagles victory. Sittinger is tied for the GLIAC lead in wins in 2016 with five, and leads the conference with 64 strikeouts.
Sittinger also earned the honor on March 28.
The Eagles (15-11 overall, 6-1 GLIAC, 5-0 GLIAC South Division) will go to Tiffin (11-16/2-7/1-4) to resume their series on Tuesday (April 12) at 2 p.m.
