Ashland University senior second baseman Stephen James is this week's Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Baseball South Division Player of the Week.
James was 10-for-17 (.588) with seven runs scored, two doubles, two home runs and three RBIs in the four-game sweep at Ohio Dominican on Sunday (March 29) and Monday (March 30). In Game 2 on Monday, James' five hits tied a season high, and his four runs scored and two doubles were season bests.
The left-handed-hitting senior is first in the GLIAC in runs scored (27), second in slugging percentage (.700) and tied for second in triples (four) and homers (four).
The Eagles will play a home four-game set against Tiffin on Friday (April 3) and Saturday (April 4), both days beginning at 1 p.m.
