ASHLAND, Ohio -- With impending bad weather forecasted for Saturday (April 14), the Ashland baseball doubleheader against GLIAC leader Saginaw Valley State has been bumped to noon in an attempt to avoid rain. The doubleheader was previously scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
The Eagles are 10-6 in league play this season and trail the Cardinals (11-5) by one game heading into this weekend's crucial four-game series at Donges Field.
Five schools are within one game of first place in the GLIAC and the Eagles can make a move with a strong showing this weekend.
Sunday's (April 15) doubleheader with the Cardinals is still scheduled to begin at noon with temperatures forecasted in the 70s with only a slight chance of showers.
