The Ashland University volleyball program will conduct a series of camps this summer for high school and youth players at Kates Gymnasium.
July 6 & 20 | High School Tournament | Play begins at 9 a.m. | Cost $160 per team
Ashland University will play host to two single-day high school volleyball tournaments on July 6 and July 20. The tournament will include pool play and playoffs. Doors for the tournament open at 8:15 a.m. with a coaches' meeting at 8:30 a.m. Competition will take place in Kates Gymnasium and the AU Recreation Center.
July 7-8 | High School Elite Skills Camp
July 7 – Passing & Defense (Morning: 9 a.m.-noon | Afternoon: 1-4 p.m.)
July 8 – Setting & Hitters (Morning: 9 a.m.-noon | Afternoon: 1-4 p.m.)
The high school elite skills camp is designed for players who want individualized attention to develop their skills as well as concepts and strategies to read and react quickly. Sessions are designed to give players in-depth knowledge of each skill.
Campers can choose to attend one or both days of the camp. Cost is $75 for one day and $125 for both days.
July 9-11 | Youth Camp | 9 a.m. – noon | Cost $100 per camper
The Ashland University Youth Camp works to develop campers' fundamental volleyball skills through hard work and a positive atmosphere. The camp is open to all skill levels for players in Grades 1-8.
July 12-14 | Team Camp
The Ashland University team camp will focus on team training in offensive and defensive strategies through game-play. The camp will culminate in a tournament. Teams, players and coaches have the option of commuting to camp each day or staying overnight on campus in residence halls.
