"Brianna really stepped up today to put a point on the board for the Eagles," Ashland head coach Lexi Bolesky said. "The girls continue to show improvement and desire."

Brdicka and freshman Allison Brooks battled in second doubles, falling 8-4 to SVSU junior Abigail Shonk and freshman Taylor McLaughlin.

"I'm very proud of this team and the culture they are creating," Bolesky said. "We are looking forward to getting back on the court tomorrow versus No. 1 Northwood."
