Ashland University junior wrestler Michael Labry is ranked second in the country at 133 pounds, and is fourth in this week's NCAA Division II "Most Dominant Wrestler" overall standings.
In the Most Dominant Wrestler standings, Labry has 4.38 points, just behind 285-pounder Austin Goergen of St. Cloud State (4.73), 165-pounder Chris Watson of Central Oklahoma (4.62) and 157-pounder Clint Poster of St. Cloud State (4.47). The NCAA Most Dominant Wrestler standings are calculated by adding the total number of points awarded through match results, and dividing that number by the total number of matches wrestled.
A two-time All-American, Labry is 32-1 in 2014-15 and 102-10 for his Eagle career. He leads the Eagles in wins, takedowns (112), major decisions (11) and pins (eight) this season.
The Eagles will return to the mat on Saturday (Feb. 14) at 10 a.m. for the Ashland Open at Kates Gymnasium.
