Five Eagles Individually Ranked, Team Ninth In Super Region II

In the latest NCAA Division II Super Region II rankings, five Ashland University wrestlers have earned rankings, and the Eagles as a team are ranked ninth.

Junior Michael Labry is the top-ranked wrestler in the region at 133 pounds. Labry is 26-1 with five pins and team-highs in major decisions (10) and takedowns (95).

Sophomore Luke Cramer (9-6) is the second-ranked wrestler at 174 pounds, sophomore Brandon O'Neill (19-4) is fourth at 197 and both sophomore Ty Davis (12-8 at 141) and junior Zeb Beam (8-8 at 157) are ranked fifth at their respective weight classes.

Ashland is ninth in the team regional rankings. Lake Erie is first, followed by Newberry, UNC-Pembroke, Coker, Tiffin, Findlay, Shorter and Wisconsin-Parkside.

Ashland will return to the mats on Saturday (Jan. 31) and Sunday (Feb. 1) in the Region II Duals at Tiffin.
