Wrestlers Move Into Nation's Top 20

The Ashland University wrestling team is ranked 20th in this week's NCAA Division II national poll. This is AU's first appearance in the poll this season.

The Eagles are 1-1 in dual meet action this season. AU shares the 20th spot in the poll with North Carolina-Pembroke.

AU sophomore Joe Brandt (Versailles, Ohio) is ranked first in the nation at 197 pounds. Brandt is 10-1 this season.

Nebraska-Kearney is ranked first in the nation. Central Oklahoma is second and St. Cloud State is third.

The Eagles, under the direction of head coach Tim Dernlan, are back in action Dec. 15-16 at the Midwest Classic in Indianapolis.
