The No. 3-ranked Ashland University women's basketball team will take winning streaks of 11 games overall and 49 games at Kates Gymnasium into a pair of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference home contests this week.
On Feb. 1, the Eagles (18-1 overall, 10-1 GLIAC) will play host to Davenport (5-13, 3-8) at 5 p.m. On Feb. 2, Ashland will be at home vs. No. T-15th-ranked Grand Valley State (17-2, 10-1) at 2 p.m. The AU-Davenport contest originally was scheduled for Jan. 31, but was postponed due to the Panthers' inability to make the trip south.
For both games, Ashland's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee will do a basket raffle, selling tickets in the lobby. The winners will be announced just after halftime of each men's basketball game. Proceeds from the raffle will go to Make-A-Wish.
