Ashland University's men and women's swim teams were among a record-breaking number of programs that earned Collegiate Swim Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America honors for the fall 2016 semester.
The Eagle women amassed a 3.42 grade-point average, while the AU men earned a 3.09, putting both above the required 3.00 mark. Ashland is one of 33 Division II swim programs to have both its men and women's teams earn this honor.
This fall's list featured 638 teams representing 394 institutions at the five collegiate levels of competition. In total, 73 percent of all CSCAA member programs posted GPAs above 3.00.
On Feb. 8-11, the Eagles will compete in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships at Saginaw Valley State in Saginaw, Mich.
