Ashland University's men's tennis team lost to Wayne State on the road on Sunday (March 31), 7-0.
The loss was the Eagles' first in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play, and snapped an overall four-match win streak.
In doubles play, the freshman duo of Colten Clark and Tche Kun Teng had the closest match, a 7-6 defeat. On the singles side, senior Stanislaw Grzeslo nearly got to a third set, but came up short in No. 6 singles, 6-2, 7-5.
The Eagles play next on Friday (April 5) at Grand Valley State at 4 p.m.
