In the middle game of another three-games-in-five-days stretch, Ashland University's men's soccer team lost a 1-0 decision at Findlay on Friday (Sept. 30).
The Eagles are 4-5 overall, the Oilers are 3-6 and both Ashland and Findlay have matching 2-5 marks in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
Friday's lone goal came in the ninth minute when Findlay freshman forward Michael Shaikly scored on a feed from freshman midfielder Josh Burton.
The Oilers took 13 shots to the Eagles' six. AU senior goalkeeper Nick Ciraldo made four saves.
Findlay took four of the game's five corner kicks.
