In its final action of the fall 2016 season, Ashland University's men's golf team took third place of 11 teams after the second and final day of the Trevecca Nazarene Men's Invitational on Tuesday (Nov. 1).
The Eagles shot a 609 two-round total, nine-strokes back of first-place McKendree.
As a team, the Eagles finished in the top half of the competition at all five of their fall tournaments, finishing at least third as a three times (second, third and tied for third).
Ashland featured six golfers at Trevecca, using five in its starting lineup and one as an individual.
Sophomore Austin Kondratick led Ashland, tying for 10th of 72 with a 148 two-round score. Kondratick had the low score for the Eagles in every tournament this fall, placing top 14 at every one.
Also at Trevecca, AU junior Chandler Wansch tied for 19th with a 151, freshman Patrick Steffen tied for 24th with a 153, redshirt sophomore Frank Steffen tied for 35th with a 157, and redshirt junior Gabe Reynolds tied for 60th with a 165.
Sophomore Ethan Blough competed as an individual for Ashland and tied for 57th with a 164.
