Two months of 2018 Ashland University football camps will begin on May 20.

The Rising Star Camp will be May 20, to be followed by the Rising Star Camp Under the Lights (May 25), Kicking Camp (June 2-3), Quarterback and Wide Receiver Camp (June 6), Youth Camp (June 18-21), a 7-on-7 Tournament (July 18) and Big Man Camp (July 18).

All camps will be at the Dwight Schar Athletic Complex.

  • Rising Star Camp (May 20) – For players in grades 9-12. Check-in is 1:30-2 p.m., check-out is 6 p.m. Cost is $35 (pre-registration) or $40 (day-of registration). T-shirts will be given to those who pre-register before May 5. This camp will meet the needs of football players in high school. Campers will get a chance to be tested in the 40-yard dash, pro shuttle and broad jump. Campers will be instructed in individual drills and group drills. Instruction will be provided by the Ashland University coaching staff.
  • Rising Star Camp Under the Lights (May 25) – For players in grades 9-12. Check-in is 5:30-6 p.m., check-out is 10 p.m. Cost is $35 (pre-registration) or $40 (day-of registration). T-shirts will be given to those who pre-register before May 8. Same format as Rising Star Camp.
  • Quarterback and Wide Receiver Camp (June 6) – For players in grades 9-12. Check-in is 8:15-9 a.m., check-out is 2:30 p.m. Cost is $50 on the day of the camp, and lunch is provided. All players must pre-register before June 1 with assistant coach Tom Stacy (tstacy@ashland.edu). Camp is fundamentals, drills and skills for quarterbacks and wide receivers.
  • Youth Camp (June 18-21) – For players in grades 3-8. Check-in each day at 8:30 a.m., check-out each day at 12:30 p.m. Cost is $100, and includes lunch, a T-shirt and a free admission pass for two to a 2018 home football game. Pre-register prior to June 1. Campers will be instructed in individual drills and group drills. Instruction will be provided by the Ashland University coaching staff.
  • 7-on-7 Tournament (July 18) – Check-in at 9 a.m., tournament is 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. All teams are guaranteed four games, and tournament is limited to 16 teams. Cost is $200, and teams must pre-register by July 1.
  • Big Man Camp (July 18) – For players in grades 9-12. Check-in is 9-9:30 a.m., check-out is 3 p.m. Cost is $45 (pre-registration) or $50 (day-of registration). T-shirts will be given to those who pre-register before July 10. This is a one-day camp designed to teach offensive and defensive linemen the essential fundamentals and techniques of their positions.

The football program's annual clinic will be Saturday (April 14) at the Troop Center. Cost is $20 per coach, lunch is included, and registration starts at 7 a.m. More information on the clinic can be found HERE.

In 2017, the Eagles finished 11-2 with a first-round NCAA Division II postseason home win and a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship. The Eagles ended the campaign ranked 10th in the final 2017 American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division II Coaches' Top 25 poll.

Ashland will open the 2018 season against Indiana, Pa., on Aug. 30 at 7 p.m. at Jack Miller Stadium/Martinelli Field.
