Ashland University defensive lineman Jamie Meder has agreed to a free agent contract with the NFL's Baltimore Ravens.
Meder, a two-time GLIAC defensive lineman of the year and a 2013 first team AFCA All-American, had attracted interest from a bevy of NFL teams leading up to the draft. Some reports predicted he would be taken in the draft, joining his former teammate Jeris Pendleton, who was drafted by the Jacksonsville Jaguars two years ago.
The 6-2, 304-pound Meder was a four-year starter for the Eagles. This past season he had 88 tackles (32 solo). He posted three sacks and had 7.5 tackles for loss (16 yards).
