Ashland University's Kates Gymnasium will be the venue for a February visit from The Original Harlem Globetrotters.
The Globetrotters will come to campus on Monday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m., as part of their Fan Powered World Tour. Doors will open that night at 6 p.m.
Tickets for the event range from $18 for a "magic pass" to $219 for a seat on the bench with the team, a backstage meet and greet, a replica jersey, a program and a Sharpie lanyard. Fans who order tickets online before Oct. 23 at 10 p.m. and use the offer code AMAZING will save 30 percent.
According to a Globetrotters press release, at each Globetrotters game on the World Tour, there will be more than 20 opportunities before, during and after each event where fans will get a chance to directly interact with the team's stars – a 30-percent increase over any previous Globetrotters game. The Harlem Globetrotters roster showcases some of the most thrilling athletes in the world, including Big Easy Lofton, Ant Atkinson, Hi-Lite Bruton, Hammer Harrison, Thunder Law, Bull Bullard, Firefly Fisher and, Cheese Chisholm – plus female stars TNT Lister, Torch George and Hoops Green.
The Harlem Globetrotters played their first road game in Hinckley, Ill., on Jan. 7, 1927, and since then, have entertained more than 146 million fans in 123 countries and territories worldwide.
